I remember sitting in front of the TV watching Saturday morning cartoons and seeing the commercials for African Lion Safari. I would bob my head to the beat of the drums in their jingle and imagine myself “Go Wild” with Lions jumping on my parents’ car, or feeding Monkeys from the car window. I’ve driven a lot in Ontario and every time I see an African Lion Safari sign or hear that familiar jingle I think to myself – I’ve always wanted to go there!

Go “On Safari” – Today’s African Lion Safari

There are over 1,000 exotic bird species and 100 different animal species at African Lion Safari. You can see them while on your “On Safari” in the Game Reserves, at the bird and animal shows or in their naturalized viewing areas featured throughout the property.

You can drive your own car through the reserve filled with rhinos, zebras, giraffes, lions and monkeys or you can jump on the African Lion Safari Tour Bus and let them do the driving! There are also a number of shows to see including the Birds of Prey flying demo, the Elephant round up and the Parrot Paradise show. One of the natural viewing areas I’m most excited to see is the Elephant Swim where you can watch them play in the water.

Travel Lovers Need the Right Rewards

I do travel a lot but contrary to popular belief I don’t get everything for free because I’m a travel writer. So I arm myself with the right rewards to help make my travel obsession a little easier. I’ve said it before, but if I didn’t have CAA in my wallet I probably would not take the drives I do around Ontario and into the States, especially because sometimes I’m a single girl (who knows nothing about cars) driving alone! But CAA for me is more than the company that will come rescue me when I lock my keys in the car, have a flat tire or my car decides it needs a break in the middle of no where. It’s also a great reward card where I can get discounts on hotels and attractions.

So if you have a CAA card you can buy tickets online and save 15% on admission or you can show up at the gate and save 10%. If you buy your tickets at the CAA store – well you also get another 10% discount to be used at the African Lion Safari gift shops.

CAA African Lion Safari Event Giveaway

I’m so glad that CAA has asked me to join their Blog Ambassador program because I’m finally going to be able to say that I went on a Safari at African Lion Safari! Oh – best part you can come too!  CAA South Central Ontario and African Lion Safari are offering one lucky Dream Travel Magazine reader a family pass (up to 5 people) to join us on June 28th for the CAA African Lion Safari event! The family pass includes admission for 2 adults (13+) and 3 children (3-12 yrs.) and includes the Safari Tour Bus, 3 animal shows, pets corner and more!

Have you said, “I’ve always wanted to go to African Lion Safari?” Let’s Go Wild and check off this dream together! Good luck!
